2nd Annual Managing Local Talent 2010

DBHR16_516x190

Officially Supported and Endorsed by the Ministry of Labour, Qatar

MoL_Qatar

In truth, Nationalization programmes amongst GCC countries are proving problematic. The Nationalization programmes have all been modelled on a quota based system for increasing the number of Nationals in the private sector and simultaneously reducing the proportion of expatriate labour.  Only 12% of employees in the U.A.E. are Emirati Nationals, and similarly, 17% of employees in Qatar are Qatari Nationals, 18% of Kuwaitis in Kuwait, 28% Saudis in Saudi Arabia, 45% Bahrainis in Bahrain and the most successful, the Sultanate of Oman, with 46% of their workforce being Omanis.

After our successful inaugural event in 2009 which attracted 120+ attendees, we wish to organize second in the series this October 2010. The conference will focus on best Nationalisation strategies from the major players. Get to know what strategies work best through practical case studies not only in the public, but the private sector as well. And interact with the peers from the industry exchanging experience and expertise in successful Nationals recruitment, retention, attraction, succession planning, job creation and much more. With all these aspects, it makes the event a must attend and something that cannot be missed this year.
